The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the heaven, holding mansions of the stars, 1 and [then bethink thyself of] the promised Day, 2 by the Witness and the witnessed, 3 Cursed be the makers of the pit, 4 The people of the fuelled blazing fire. 5 when they were seated over it 6 and were themselves witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 They had naught against them save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Owner of Praise, 8 Whose is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness of all things. 9 Verily, as for those who persecute believing men and believing women, and thereafter do not repent, hell's suffering awaits them: yea, suffering through fire awaits them! 10 (But) for those who believe and do good works, for them there are Gardens underneath which rivers flow that is the Great Victory! 11 Stern indeed is your Lord's punishment. 12 Surely it is He who originates, and brings again, 13 and He is the Ever Forgiving, the Most Loving 14 The Lord of the glorious Throne, 15 the Executor of what He wills. 16 Has not there come to you the story of the hosts, 17 (The armies of) Firaun and the tribe of Thamud. 18 And yet the Unbelievers (persist) in rejecting (the Truth)! 19 But God surrounds them from all sides. 20 This is indeed the glorious Qur'an 21 (Inscribed) in a Tablet Preserved! 22
