The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the heaven adorned with big stars. 1 By the Promised Day! 2 And the witness and the witnessed, 3 Woe to the makers of the pit (of fire), 4 the fire with its fuel, 5 When they sat by it, 6 And to that which they did to the believers were witnesses. 7 whom they hated for no other reason than that they believed in God, the Almighty, the Praiseworthy, 8 To whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. And Allah, over all things, is Witness. 9 Verily those who affected the believing men and the believing women, and then repented not, theirs shall be the torment of Hell, and theirs shall be the torment of burning. 10 Verily those who believed and worked righteous works, theirs shall be Gardens whereunder the rivers flow; that is the supreme achievement. 11 Stern indeed is your Lord's punishment. 12 Indeed, it is He who originates [creation] and repeats. 13 He is the forgiving and the loving, 14 Owner of the Throne, the Exalted. 15 He does what He intends (or wills). 16 Have you not heard about the stories of the armies 17 the armies of Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 Yet the infidels persist in denial. 19 And Allah, all unseen, surroundeth them. 20 It is indeed a glorious Quran, 21 written on a preserved Tablet. 22
