The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By heaven of the constellations, 1 And by oath of the Promised Day. 2 And the witness and the witnessed, 3 Cursed be the makers of the pit, 4 of fire fiercely burning [for all who have attained to faith]! 5 When they sat by it, 6 And they were witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 They took revenge on them only because they believed in the All-mighty, the Al-laudable, 8 Him to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness to all things. 9 Indeed those who troubled the Muslim men and Muslim women, and then did not repent – for them is the punishment of hell, and for them is the punishment of fire. 10 As for those who believed and acted righteously, theirs shall be Gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great triumph. 11 Stern indeed is your Lord's punishment. 12 Lo! He it is Who produceth, then reproduceth, 13 And He is the Forgiving, and the Loving. 14 Lord of the Throne, the Glorious, 15 The great doer of what He will. 16 Hath there come unto thee the story of the hosts 17 of the Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 Nay! The disbelievers (persisted) in denying (Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) and his Message of Islamic Monotheism). 19 And Allah encompasses them from behind! (i.e. all their deeds are within His Knowledge, and He will requite them for their deeds). 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Qur'an. 21 (Preserved) on the guarded tablet. 22
