The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the sky, (displaying) the Zodiacal Signs; 1 And the promised day, 2 and by the witness and what is witnessed: 3 may the people be condemned those who tortured (the believers) in ditches 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel: 5 when they were seated around it 6 and were themselves witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 They had nothing against them, except that they believed in Allah, the All-Mighty, Worthy of all Praise! 8 [and] to whom the dominion of the heavens and the earth belongs. But God is witness unto everything! 9 Verily, those who put into trial the believing men and believing women (by torturing them and burning them), and then do not turn in repentance, (to Allah), will have the torment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the burning Fire. 10 For those who believe and do righteous deeds, will be Gardens; beneath which rivers flow: That is the great Salvation, (the fulfilment of all desires), 11 The grip of your Lord is severe indeed! 12 Verily He! He it is who beginneth and repeateth it. 13 He is the forgiving and the loving, 14 in sublime almightiness enthroned, 15 and the Most Effective in His decision. 16 HAS IT ever come within thy ken, the story of the [sinful] hosts 17 (The armies of) Firaun and the tribe of Thamud. 18 Yet the infidels persist in denial. 19 And Allah encompasses them on every side. 20 Nay! This is a Glorious Quran, 21 in a guarded tablet. 22
