The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By heaven of the constellations, 1 And by the Promised Day. 2 By the witness and the witnessed! 3 Perish the fellows of the ditch, 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel, 5 while they themselves sat around it 6 witnessing what they were doing. 7 And they did not take vengeance on them for aught except that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praised, 8 Whose kingdom spreads over the heavens and the earth. God is witness over everything. 9 Those who persecute the believing men and believing women, and then do not repent, will surely suffer the punishment of Hell, and the torment of burning. 10 Indeed those who believed and did good deeds – for them are Gardens beneath which rivers flow; this is the great success. 11 The grip of your Lord is indeed severe, 12 It is verily He who initiates and repeats. 13 And He alone is truly-forgiving, all-embracing in His love, 14 Lord of the Throne, the All-glorious, 15 the Executor of what He wills. 16 Has the story of the armies reached you, 17 Pharaoh and Thamood? 18 In fact, the disbelievers had always rejected (Our revelations). 19 But God surrounds them from all sides. 20 In fact it (what they deny) is the Noble Qur’an. 21 In a guarded tablet. 22
