The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
I swear by the mansions of the stars, 1 And by oath of the Promised Day. 2 and by the witness (Muhammad) and that which is witnessed (the Day of Judgment), 3 The companions of the pit were killed 4 the fire with its fuel, 5 while they themselves sat around it 6 And to that which they did to the believers were witnesses. 7 And they resented them not except because they believed in Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy, 8 Him, Whose is the dominion of heavens and the earth. And Allah is over everything a Witness. 9 Those who persecute the believers, men and women, and then have not repented, there awaits them the chastisement of Gehenna, and there awaits them the chastisement of the burning. 10 Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds will have gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great attainment. 11 Surely the might of your Lord is great. 12 Lo! He it is Who produceth, then reproduceth, 13 He is the All-forgiving, the Most Loving One, 14 Master of the Honourable Throne. 15 Doer (without let) of all that He intends. 16 Did the story of the armies reach you? 17 of Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 And yet, they who are bent on denying the truth persist in giving it the lie: 19 God encompasses them from all sides. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Qur'an. 21 In the Preserved Tablet. 22
