The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the heaven adorned with big stars. 1 by the promised day, 2 And the bearer of witness and those against whom the witness is borne. 3 Cursed be the makers of the pit, 4 the makers of the fuel-stoked fire! 5 while they sat around it, 6 And they witnessed what they were doing against the believers (i.e. burning them). 7 And they ill-treated them for no other reason than that they believed in Allah, Exalted in Power, Worthy of all Praise!- 8 to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. Allah witnesses everything. 9 Verily, those who put into trial the believing men and believing women (by torturing them and burning them), and then do not turn in repentance, (to Allah), will have the torment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the burning Fire. 10 As for those who believed and acted righteously, theirs shall be Gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great triumph. 11 Verily the grip of thine Lord is severe. 12 Surely it is He who originates, and brings again, 13 And He is the Forgiving, and the Loving. 14 Lord of the Throne, the All-glorious, 15 Doer (without let) of all that He intends. 16 Hath there come unto thee the story of the hosts 17 Of the Fir'awn and the Thamud? 18 Nay, but the unbelievers still cry lies, 19 and God is behind them, encompassing. 20 In fact it (what they deny) is the Noble Qur’an. 21 Inscribed in a tablet preserved. 22
