The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the heaven adorned with big stars. 1 By the promised Day (of Judgment); 2 and [of] Him who witnesses [all,] and [of] that unto which witness is borne [by Him]! 3 THEY DESTROY [but] themselves, they who would ready a pit 4 by a burning fire 5 Lo! [With glee do] they contemplate that [fire,] 6 Witnessing what they had done to the believers! 7 Against these they had no grudge except that they believed in Allah, the Most Mighty, the Most Praiseworthy, 8 To whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. And Allah, over all things, is Witness. 9 Those who persecute the believing men and women without repenting will suffer the torment of hell and that of the burning fire. 10 (But) for those who believe and do good works, for them there are Gardens underneath which rivers flow that is the Great Victory! 11 Indeed the seizure of your Lord is very severe. 12 Behold, it is He who creates [man] in the first instance, and He [it is who] will bring him forth anew. 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Affectionate, 14 The Lord of the glorious Throne, 15 Doer (without let) of all that He intends. 16 Has the story of the armies reached you, 17 Of Pharaoh and the Thamud? 18 Nay! The disbelievers (persisted) in denying (Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) and his Message of Islamic Monotheism). 19 Whereas Allah is, from behind them, Encompassing. 20 Indeed, this is a Glorious Koran, 21 upon an imperishable tablet [inscribed]. 22
