The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By heaven of the constellations, 1 And by the Day promised, 2 And [by] the witness and what is witnessed, 3 destroyed were the people of the trench, 4 the fire abounding in fuel, 5 when they were seated around it 6 fully conscious of what they are doing to the believers, 7 They had naught against them save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Owner of Praise, 8 to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and earth. And Allah is the Witness of all things. 9 Verily, as for those who persecute believing men and believing women, and thereafter do not repent, hell's suffering awaits them: yea, suffering through fire awaits them! 10 As for the righteously striving believers, they will live in Paradise wherein streams flow. This is the greatest triumph. 11 Indeed the seizure of your Lord is very severe. 12 It is He Who creates from the very beginning, and He can restore (life). 13 And He is Oft-Forgiving, full of love (towards the pious who are real true believers of Islamic Monotheism), 14 the Owner of the Throne, the Glorious One, 15 Doer of what He will. 16 Have you not heard the story of the hosts 17 (The armies of) Firaun and the tribe of Thamud. 18 And yet the Unbelievers (persist) in rejecting (the Truth)! 19 Allah encompasses them all from behind. 20 It is indeed a glorious Quran, 21 Inscribed in a tablet preserved. 22
