The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
I CALL TO witness the sky (bespangled) with the signs of the Zodiac, 1 And by oath of the Promised Day. 2 by the witness and the witnessed, 3 (Self-)destroyed were the owners of the ditch 4 Full of fire fed by faggots, 5 while they themselves sat around it 6 and were witnessing what they did to the believers. 7 They had naught against them save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Owner of Praise, 8 and the One to whom belongs the heavens and the earth. God is the Witness of all things. 9 Indeed those who troubled the Muslim men and Muslim women, and then did not repent – for them is the punishment of hell, and for them is the punishment of fire. 10 As for those who believed and acted righteously, theirs shall be Gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great triumph. 11 The grip of your Lord is indeed severe, 12 Surely it is He who originates, and brings again, 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, 14 Lord of the Throne, the All-glorious, 15 The great doer of what He will. 16 Has the story reached you of the hosts, 17 (The armies of) Firaun and the tribe of Thamud. 18 In fact the disbelievers are in denial. 19 However, God encompassed their activities. 20 Nay! This is a Glorious Quran, 21 In the Preserved Tablet. 22
