The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the heaven with its impregnable castles; 1 by the promised day, 2 By one that witnesses, and the subject of the witness;- 3 Cursed be the makers of the pit, 4 with fire abounding in fuel, 5 when they were seated around it 6 witnessing what they were doing. 7 The only reason for which they tormented the believers was the latter's belief in God, the Majestic, and Praiseworthy. 8 and the One to whom belongs the heavens and the earth. God is the Witness of all things. 9 Lo! they who persecute believing men and believing women and repent not, theirs verily will be the doom of hell, and theirs the doom of burning. 10 Surely (as for) those who believe and do good, they shall have gardens beneath which rivers flow, that is the great achievement. 11 Lo! the punishment of thy Lord is stern. 12 it is He who begins and repeats [His creation], 13 And He is the Oft-Forgiving, Full of Loving-Kindness, 14 Master of the Honourable Throne. 15 Doer of what He will. 16 Has the story reached thee, of the forces- 17 the armies of Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 But they who disbelieve are in [persistent] denial, 19 And Allah is after them, has them surrounded. 20 Nay, this is a Glorious Qur'an, 21 written on a preserved Tablet. 22
