The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By heaven of the constellations, 1 And by the Day promised, 2 And the witness and the witnessed, 3 Woe to the makers of the pit (of fire), 4 with fire abounding in fuel, 5 When they sat by it, 6 And they were witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 And they did not take vengeance on them for aught except that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praised, 8 and the One to whom belongs the heavens and the earth. God is the Witness of all things. 9 Indeed those who troubled the Muslim men and Muslim women, and then did not repent – for them is the punishment of hell, and for them is the punishment of fire. 10 Surely for those who believe and do the right are gardens with rivers running by. That is the greatest success. 11 Truly strong is the Grip (and Power) of thy Lord. 12 Surely it is He who originates, and brings again, 13 and He is the All-forgiving, the All-loving, 14 – the Lord of the Glorious Throne, 15 Executor of His own will. 16 Have you not heard about the stories of the armies 17 Of Fir'aun (Pharaoh) and Thamud? 18 Nay, but the unbelievers still cry lies, 19 And Allah encompasses them on every side. 20 In fact it (what they deny) is the Noble Qur’an. 21 In a guarded tablet. 22
