The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By oath of the heaven which contains the constellations. 1 And the promised day, 2 By one that witnesses, and the subject of the witness;- 3 Cursed be the makers of the pit, 4 Full of fire fed by faggots, 5 When they were sitting near it 6 And they, to what they were doing against the believers, were witnesses. 7 and their revenge on them was only because they believed in Allah, the Almighty, the Praised, 8 [and] to whom the dominion of the heavens and the earth belongs. But God is witness unto everything! 9 Those who persecute (or draw into temptation) the Believers, men and women, and do not turn in repentance, will have the Penalty of Hell: They will have the Penalty of the Burning Fire. 10 (But) for those who believe and do good works, for them there are Gardens underneath which rivers flow that is the Great Victory! 11 The vengeance of God is terribly severe. 12 Lo! He it is Who produceth, then reproduceth, 13 And He only is the Oft Forgiving, the Beloved of His bondmen. 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 Doer of whatsoever He intendeth. 16 Has it come to you the story of the hosts 17 Of the Fir'awn and the Thamud? 18 Yet the unbelievers still belie, 19 However, God encompassed their activities. 20 Nay! This is a Glorious Quran, 21 written on a preserved Tablet. 22
