The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
I swear by the mansions of the stars, 1 By the promised Day (of Judgment); 2 by the Witness and the witnessed, 3 Perish the fellows of the ditch, 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel, 5 When they sat by it 6 and they were witnesses of what they did to the believers 7 They took revenge on them only because they believed in the All-mighty, the Al-laudable, 8 to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and earth. And Allah is the Witness of all things. 9 Surely those who tormented the believing men and the believing women and then did not repent, theirs shall be the chastisement of Hell, and theirs shall be the chastisement of burning. 10 (But) for those who believe and do good works, for them there are Gardens underneath which rivers flow that is the Great Victory! 11 Indeed the seizure of your Lord is very severe. 12 It is He Who creates from the very beginning, and He can restore (life). 13 And He only is the Oft Forgiving, the Beloved of His bondmen. 14 Lord of the Throne, the Glorious, 15 Executor of His own will. 16 Hath there come unto thee the story of the hosts 17 of Pharaoh, and of [the tribe of] Thamud? 18 Nay! those who disbelieve are in (the act of) giving the lie to the truth. 19 But God surrounds them from all sides. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Koran, 21 (Inscribed) in Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz (The Preserved Tablet)! 22
