The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the heaven with its impregnable castles; 1 And by oath of the Promised Day. 2 by the witness and the witnessed, 3 THEY DESTROY [but] themselves, they who would ready a pit 4 with fire abounding in fuel, 5 when they were seated over it 6 And they were witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 They took revenge on them only because they believed in the All-mighty, the Al-laudable, 8 to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. Allah witnesses everything. 9 Indeed, those who have tortured the believing men and believing women and then have not repented will have the punishment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the Burning Fire. 10 Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds will have gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great attainment. 11 Surely the might of your Lord is great. 12 It is He who creates all things and causes them to return. 13 He is the All-forgiving, the Most Loving One, 14 The Lord of the glorious Throne, 15 and the Most Effective in His decision. 16 Have you not heard about the stories of the armies 17 of Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 But those who disbelieve are engaged in denial. 19 Whereas Allah is, from behind them, Encompassing. 20 What is revealed to you is certainly a glorious Quran 21 (Inscribed) in a Tablet Preserved! 22
True are the words of God the Almighty.

(1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
