The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the sky containing great stars 1 And by oath of the Promised Day. 2 And the bearer of witness and those against whom the witness is borne. 3 The companions of the pit were killed 4 Of the fuel-fed fire, 5 When they were sitting at its edge. 6 And they, to what they were doing against the believers, were witnesses. 7 whom they hate for no other reason than that they believe in God, the Almighty, the One to whom all praise is due, 8 Him to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness to all things. 9 Lo! they who persecute believing men and believing women and repent not, theirs verily will be the doom of hell, and theirs the doom of burning. 10 Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds will have gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great attainment. 11 Verily the grip of thine Lord is severe. 12 Surely it is He who originates, and brings again, 13 and He is the All-forgiving, the All-loving, 14 in sublime almightiness enthroned, 15 and the Most Effective in His decision. 16 Has the story reached you of the hosts, 17 Of Fir'aun (Pharaoh) and Thamud? 18 Yet the infidels persist in denial. 19 But Allah doth encompass them from behind! 20 This is indeed the glorious Qur'an 21 (Inscribed) in a Tablet Preserved! 22
Almighty Allah's Truth.
