The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By oath of the heaven which contains the constellations. 1 by the Promised Day, 2 and by the witness and what is witnessed: 3 The companions of the pit were killed 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel, 5 Behold! they sat over against the (fire), 6 And they themselves are witnesses to what they were doing to the Muslims! 7 They took revenge on them only because they believed in the All-mighty, the Al-laudable, 8 Him to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness to all things. 9 Those who persecute the believing men and women without repenting will suffer the torment of hell and that of the burning fire. 10 [But,] verily, they who attain to faith and do righteous deeds shall [in the life to come] have gardens through which running waters flow - that triumph most great! 11 Indeed, the vengeance of your Lord is severe. 12 Behold, it is He who creates [man] in the first instance, and He [it is who] will bring him forth anew. 13 and He is the Forgiving and Loving One. 14 Lord of the Arsh, the Glorious, 15 Effecter of what He intends. 16 Have you not heard the story of the hosts 17 (The armies of) Firaun and the tribe of Thamud. 18 Yet the infidels persist in denial. 19 God encompasses them from all sides. 20 Aye! it is a Recitation glorious, 21 (Preserved) on the guarded tablet. 22
