The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the heaven of the constellations! 1 by the promised day, 2 And by the Day witnessing and the Day witnessed, 3 Woe to the makers of the pit (of fire), 4 [Containing] the fire full of fuel, 5 They sat by it 6 fully conscious of what they are doing to the believers, 7 And they persecuted them for naught save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praiseworthy 8 [and] to whom the dominion of the heavens and the earth belongs. But God is witness unto everything! 9 Verily those who affected the believing men and the believing women, and then repented not, theirs shall be the torment of Hell, and theirs shall be the torment of burning. 10 [But,] verily, they who attain to faith and do righteous deeds shall [in the life to come] have gardens through which running waters flow - that triumph most great! 11 Truly strong is the Grip (and Power) of thy Lord. 12 It is He Who creates from the very beginning, and He can restore (life). 13 And He is Oft-Forgiving, full of love (towards the pious who are real true believers of Islamic Monotheism), 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 Performer of what He desires. 16 Hath there come unto thee the story of the hosts 17 of the Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 But they who disbelieve are in [persistent] denial, 19 although Allah surrounds them. 20 Nay! it is a glorious Quran, 21 written on a preserved Tablet. 22
