The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
I swear by the mansions of the stars, 1 And the promised day, 2 By the witness and the witnessed! 3 Accursed be the People of the Ditch! 4 [Containing] the fire full of fuel, 5 When they sat by it 6 to watch what they were doing to the believers, 7 And they resented them not except because they believed in Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy, 8 Him, Whose is the dominion of heavens and the earth. And Allah is over everything a Witness. 9 Verily, those who put into trial the believing men and believing women (by torturing them and burning them), and then do not turn in repentance, (to Allah), will have the torment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the burning Fire. 10 For those who believe and do righteous deeds, will be Gardens; beneath which rivers flow: That is the great Salvation, (the fulfilment of all desires), 11 Lo! the punishment of thy Lord is stern. 12 It is verily He who initiates and repeats. 13 He is the forgiving and the loving, 14 The Lord of the Glorious Throne, 15 and the Most Effective in His decision. 16 Has the story reached you of the hosts, 17 Of the Fir'awn and the Thamud? 18 Yet the unbelievers still belie, 19 And Allah encompasses them on every side. 20 Aye! it is a Recitation glorious, 21 In the Preserved Tablet. 22
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
