The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the sky with its constellations, 1 By the Promised Day! 2 by the witness and the witnessed, 3 The companions of the pit were killed 4 of fire fiercely burning [for all who have attained to faith]! 5 When they sat by it 6 fully conscious of what they are doing to the believers, 7 They had nothing against them, except that they believed in Allah, the All-Mighty, Worthy of all Praise! 8 To Him only belongs the kingship of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness over all things. 9 Those who persecute the believers, men and women, and then have not repented, there awaits them the chastisement of Gehenna, and there awaits them the chastisement of the burning. 10 Surely for those who believe and do the right are gardens with rivers running by. That is the greatest success. 11 Indeed, the vengeance of your Lord is severe. 12 He it is Who creates for the first time and He it is Who will create again, 13 and He is the All-forgiving, the All-loving, 14 in sublime almightiness enthroned, 15 Executor of His own will. 16 Has it come to you the story of the hosts 17 Of Pharaoh and Thamud come to you? 18 In fact the disbelievers are in denial. 19 although Allah surrounds them. 20 Nay; but this is a glorious Qur'an, 21 On a guarded tablet. 22
