The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the sky containing great stars 1 and [then bethink thyself of] the promised Day, 2 and by the witness and what is witnessed: 3 (Self-)destroyed were the owners of the ditch 4 by a burning fire 5 when they were seated around it 6 And to that which they did to the believers were witnesses. 7 And they did not take vengeance on them for aught except that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praised, 8 to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and earth. And Allah is the Witness of all things. 9 Verily, as for those who persecute believing men and believing women, and thereafter do not repent, hell's suffering awaits them: yea, suffering through fire awaits them! 10 Lo! those who believe and do good works, theirs will be Gardens underneath which rivers flow. That is the Great Success. 11 VERILY, thy Sustainer's grip is exceedingly strong! 12 Surely it is He who originates, and brings again, 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Affectionate, 14 The Lord of the glorious Throne, 15 He does what He intends (or wills). 16 Has there reached you the story of the soldiers - 17 Of Pharaoh and the Thamud? 18 Nay, but the unbelievers still cry lies, 19 While Allah encompasses them from behind. 20 Indeed, this is a Glorious Koran, 21 in a guarded tablet. 22
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
