The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the heaven, holding the big stars. 1 by the promised day, 2 and by the witness and what is witnessed: 3 Woe to the makers of the pit (of fire), 4 Of fire fuel-fed, 5 while they sat around it, 6 and were witnessing what they did to the believers. 7 They took revenge on them only because they believed in the All-mighty, the Al-laudable, 8 God to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and God is Witness over everything. 9 Those who persecute the believing men and believing women, and then do not repent, will surely suffer the punishment of Hell, and the torment of burning. 10 As for those who believed and acted righteously, theirs shall be Gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great triumph. 11 Verily, (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) the Grip (Punishment) of your Lord is severe. 12 Surely He it is Who originates and reproduces, 13 He is the forgiving and the loving, 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 Doer (without let) of all that He intends. 16 Has the story reached thee, of the forces- 17 [Those of] Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 And yet the Unbelievers (persist) in rejecting (the Truth)! 19 While Allah encompasses them from behind. 20 This is indeed the glorious Qur'an 21 [Inscribed] in a Preserved Slate. 22
