The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the sky with its constellations, 1 by the promised day, 2 by the Witness and the witnessed, 3 Cursed were the companions of the trench 4 of fire fiercely burning [for all who have attained to faith]! 5 When they were sitting at its edge. 6 Witnessing what they had done to the believers! 7 Against these they had no grudge except that they believed in Allah, the Most Mighty, the Most Praiseworthy, 8 Who, to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness over everything. 9 Verily those who affected the believing men and the believing women, and then repented not, theirs shall be the torment of Hell, and theirs shall be the torment of burning. 10 Verily, those who believe and do righteous good deeds, for them will be Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise). That is the great success. 11 Surely thy Lord's assault is terrible. 12 Indeed, it is He who originates [creation] and repeats. 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, 14 Master of the Honourable Throne. 15 The great doer of what He will. 16 Has the story reached thee, of the forces- 17 of Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 In fact, the disbelievers had always rejected (Our revelations). 19 And Allah encompasses them from behind! (i.e. all their deeds are within His Knowledge, and He will requite them for their deeds). 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Koran, 21 In a guarded tablet. 22
