The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the heavens with constellations, 1 And the promised day, 2 By one that witnesses, and the subject of the witness;- 3 may the people be condemned those who tortured (the believers) in ditches 4 the fire with its fuel, 5 Behold! they sat over against the (fire), 6 And they witnessed (all) that they were doing against the Believers. 7 and their revenge on them was only because they believed in Allah, the Almighty, the Praised, 8 to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. Allah witnesses everything. 9 Those who persecute (or draw into temptation) the Believers, men and women, and do not turn in repentance, will have the Penalty of Hell: They will have the Penalty of the Burning Fire. 10 [But,] verily, they who attain to faith and do righteous deeds shall [in the life to come] have gardens through which running waters flow - that triumph most great! 11 Lo! the punishment of thy Lord is stern. 12 It is He Who creates from the very beginning, and He can restore (life). 13 And He only is the Oft Forgiving, the Beloved of His bondmen. 14 – the Lord of the Glorious Throne, 15 Effecter of what He intends. 16 Have you not heard about the stories of the armies 17 Of the Fir'awn and the Thamud? 18 In fact the disbelievers are in denial. 19 although Allah surrounds them. 20 Indeed, this is a Glorious Koran, 21 in a Guarded Tablet. 22
