The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the heaven adorned with big stars. 1 And the promised day, 2 And the witness and the witnessed, 3 (Self-)destroyed were the owners of the ditch 4 Of the fire (kept burning) with fuel, 5 when they were seated over it 6 And they, to what they were doing against the believers, were witnesses. 7 And they resented them not except because they believed in Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy, 8 To whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. And Allah, over all things, is Witness. 9 Indeed, those who have tortured the believing men and believing women and then have not repented will have the punishment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the Burning Fire. 10 As for the righteously striving believers, they will live in Paradise wherein streams flow. This is the greatest triumph. 11 Indeed the seizure of your Lord is very severe. 12 Surely He it is Who originates and reproduces, 13 And He alone is truly-forgiving, all-embracing in His love, 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 Executor of His own will. 16 Did the story of the armies reach you? 17 Of the Fir'awn and the Thamud? 18 And yet, they who are bent on denying the truth persist in giving it the lie: 19 However, God encompassed their activities. 20 But this is an honored Qur'an 21 upon an imperishable tablet [inscribed]. 22
