The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the sky with its constellations, 1 by the promised day, 2 By one that witnesses, and the subject of the witness;- 3 slain were the Men of the Pit, 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel: 5 When they were sitting near it 6 And they witnessed (all) that they were doing against the Believers. 7 And they did not take vengeance on them for aught except that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praised, 8 and the One to whom belongs the heavens and the earth. God is the Witness of all things. 9 Those who persecute the believing men and believing women, and then do not repent, will surely suffer the punishment of Hell, and the torment of burning. 10 Surely for those who believe and do the right are gardens with rivers running by. That is the greatest success. 11 Stern indeed is your Lord's punishment. 12 It is He Who creates from the very beginning, and He can restore (life). 13 And He alone is truly-forgiving, all-embracing in His love, 14 Owner of the throne, the Glorious 15 Doer of what He will. 16 Have you not heard the story of the hosts 17 the armies of Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 And yet the Unbelievers (persist) in rejecting (the Truth)! 19 and God is behind them, encompassing. 20 Nay, but this [divine writ which they reject] is a discourse sublime, 21 Inscribed in a tablet preserved. 22
