The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
I CALL TO witness the sky (bespangled) with the signs of the Zodiac, 1 By the Promised Day! 2 and by the witness and what is witnessed: 3 That accursed are the men of the trench 4 with fire abounding in fuel, 5 Behold! they sat over against the (fire), 6 And to that which they did to the believers were witnesses. 7 The only reason for which they tormented the believers was the latter's belief in God, the Majestic, and Praiseworthy. 8 God to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and God is Witness over everything. 9 Surely (as for) those who persecute the believing men and the believing women, then do not repent, they shall have the chastisement of hell, and they shall have the chastisement of burning. 10 As for the righteously striving believers, they will live in Paradise wherein streams flow. This is the greatest triumph. 11 Indeed the seizure of your Lord is very severe. 12 It is He Who creates from the very beginning, and He can restore (life). 13 And He is Oft-Forgiving, full of love (towards the pious who are real true believers of Islamic Monotheism), 14 Lord of the Throne, the Glorious, 15 Effecter of what He intends. 16 Has it come to you the story of the hosts 17 [Those of] Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 But those who disbelieve are engaged in denial. 19 But God surrounds them from all sides. 20 But this is an honored Qur'an 21 written on a preserved Tablet. 22
