The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By oath of the heaven which contains the constellations. 1 by the promised day, 2 And the bearer of witness and those against whom the witness is borne. 3 slain were the Men of the Pit, 4 Of the fire (kept burning) with fuel, 5 When they sat by it, 6 And they were witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 The only reason for which they tormented the believers was the latter's belief in God, the Majestic, and Praiseworthy. 8 to whom belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. God is witness over all things. 9 Verily those who affected the believing men and the believing women, and then repented not, theirs shall be the torment of Hell, and theirs shall be the torment of burning. 10 Indeed those who believed and did good deeds – for them are Gardens beneath which rivers flow; this is the great success. 11 Verily, (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) the Grip (Punishment) of your Lord is severe. 12 Surely it is He who originates, and brings again, 13 And He is Oft-Forgiving, full of love (towards the pious who are real true believers of Islamic Monotheism), 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 Doer (without let) of all that He intends. 16 Has the story reached thee, of the forces- 17 Of Pharaoh and the Thamud? 18 Nay, but the unbelievers still cry lies, 19 But Allah doth encompass them from behind! 20 Nay; but this is a glorious Qur'an, 21 (Preserved) on the guarded tablet. 22
