The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heaven of the constellations! 1 by the Promised Day, 2 and [of] Him who witnesses [all,] and [of] that unto which witness is borne [by Him]! 3 (Self-)destroyed were the owners of the ditch 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel, 5 while they themselves sat around it 6 And they witnessed what they were doing against the believers (i.e. burning them). 7 And what did they dislike from the Muslims, except that the Muslims accepted faith in Allah the Most Honourable, the Most Praiseworthy? 8 Whose is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness of all things. 9 Indeed those who troubled the Muslim men and Muslim women, and then did not repent – for them is the punishment of hell, and for them is the punishment of fire. 10 (But) for those who believe and do good works, for them there are Gardens underneath which rivers flow that is the Great Victory! 11 Lo! the punishment of thy Lord is stern. 12 it is He who begins and repeats [His creation], 13 And He is the Forgiving, and the Loving. 14 Lord of the Arsh, the Glorious, 15 Performer of what He desires. 16 HAS IT ever come within thy ken, the story of the [sinful] hosts 17 Of Fir'aun (Pharaoh) and Thamud? 18 Nay! The disbelievers (persisted) in denying (Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) and his Message of Islamic Monotheism). 19 While Allah encompasses them from behind. 20 This is indeed the glorious Qur'an 21 In a guarded tablet. 22
