The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the sky with its constellations, 1 And by the Day promised, 2 and [of] Him who witnesses [all,] and [of] that unto which witness is borne [by Him]! 3 Cursed were the companions of the trench 4 Of the fire (kept burning) with fuel, 5 when they were seated over it 6 And to that which they did to the believers were witnesses. 7 Against these they had no grudge except that they believed in Allah, the Most Mighty, the Most Praiseworthy, 8 Him unto Whom belongeth the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is of all things the Witness. 9 Those who persecute the believers, men and women, and then have not repented, there awaits them the chastisement of Gehenna, and there awaits them the chastisement of the burning. 10 (But) for those who believe and do good works, for them there are Gardens underneath which rivers flow that is the Great Victory! 11 Verily the grip of thine Lord is severe. 12 Indeed it is He Who initiates and redoes. 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, 14 The Lord of the glorious Throne, 15 Executor of His own will. 16 Has not there come to you the story of the hosts, 17 of Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 But those who disbelieve are engaged in denial. 19 And Allah, all unseen, surroundeth them. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Koran, 21 (Inscribed) in Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz (The Preserved Tablet)! 22
