The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the sky, (displaying) the Zodiacal Signs; 1 And by the Promised Day. 2 And by oath of the day that is a witness and by oath of a day in which the people present themselves. 3 the people of the pit were destroyed 4 with fire abounding in fuel, 5 When they sat by it, 6 fully conscious of what they are doing to the believers, 7 And they ill-treated them for no other reason than that they believed in Allah, Exalted in Power, Worthy of all Praise!- 8 To whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. And Allah, over all things, is Witness. 9 Those who persecuted the believing men and women and never repented, there is for them the punishment of Gehenna (Hell), and for them the punishment of the burning. 10 Surely for those who believe and do the right are gardens with rivers running by. That is the greatest success. 11 Indeed the seizure of your Lord is very severe. 12 Verily, He it is Who begins (punishment) and repeats (punishment in the Hereafter) (or originates the creation of everything, and then repeats it on the Day of Resurrection). 13 And He is Oft-Forgiving, full of love (towards the pious who are real true believers of Islamic Monotheism), 14 Lord of the Arsh, the Glorious, 15 and the Most Effective in His decision. 16 Hast thou received the story of the hosts, 17 of the Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 Yet the infidels persist in denial. 19 And Allah encompasses them from behind! (i.e. all their deeds are within His Knowledge, and He will requite them for their deeds). 20 Aye! it is a Recitation glorious, 21 (Inscribed) in a Tablet Preserved! 22
