The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heaven with its impregnable castles; 1 And by oath of the Promised Day. 2 And by the witness and that whereunto he beareth testimony, 3 THEY DESTROY [but] themselves, they who would ready a pit 4 Of the fire (kept burning) with fuel, 5 When they sat by it, 6 and were themselves witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 They had nothing against them, except that they believed in Allah, the All-Mighty, Worthy of all Praise! 8 God to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and God is Witness over everything. 9 Those who persecute (or draw into temptation) the Believers, men and women, and do not turn in repentance, will have the Penalty of Hell: They will have the Penalty of the Burning Fire. 10 Indeed those who believed and did good deeds – for them are Gardens beneath which rivers flow; this is the great success. 11 Surely the might of your Lord is great. 12 He it is Who creates for the first time and He it is Who will create again, 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Affectionate, 14 The Lord of the Glorious Throne, 15 Effecter of what He intends. 16 Hast thou received the story of the hosts, 17 the armies of Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 Nay! those who disbelieve are in (the act of) giving the lie to the truth. 19 But God surrounds them from all sides. 20 Nay, but this [divine writ which they reject] is a discourse sublime, 21 On a guarded tablet. 22

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
