The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the sky, (displaying) the Zodiacal Signs; 1 and by the promised Day, 2 by the witness and the witnessed, 3 That accursed are the men of the trench 4 the fire with its fuel, 5 They sat by it 6 And to that which they did to the believers were witnesses. 7 Against these they had no grudge except that they believed in Allah, the Most Mighty, the Most Praiseworthy, 8 God to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and God is Witness over everything. 9 Verily, those who put into trial the believing men and believing women (by torturing them and burning them), and then do not turn in repentance, (to Allah), will have the torment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the burning Fire. 10 Indeed those who believed and did good deeds – for them are Gardens beneath which rivers flow; this is the great success. 11 Stern indeed is your Lord's punishment. 12 It is He who originates and repeats. 13 He is the All-forgiving, the Most Loving One, 14 Owner of the throne, the Glorious 15 Doer (without let) of all that He intends. 16 Have you not heard about the stories of the armies 17 Of Firon and Samood? 18 In fact, the disbelievers had always rejected (Our revelations). 19 While Allah encompasses them from behind. 20 Nay! it is a glorious Quran, 21 [Inscribed] in a Preserved Slate. 22
