The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the heavens and al-tariq. 1 And what will explain to thee what the Night-Visitant is?- 2 (It is) the Star of piercing brightness;- 3 For every soul there is a watcher. 4 Let man reflect on what he was created from. 5 Created from a gushing fluid. 6 That is issued from between the backs and the ribs. 7 Lo! He verily is Able to return him (unto life) 8 A day when the secrets will be examined. 9 (Man) will have no power, and no helper. 10 By the heaven which giveth the returning rain, 11 and by the earth ever bursting with verdure, 12 this (Qur'an) is surely a decisive Word, 13 it is not a jest. 14 They are devising a guile, 15 But I am planning a plan. 16 Therefore give them some respite give them some time. 17
Almighty God's Truth.
