The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By oath of the heaven, and by oath of the nightly arriver. 1 And have you understood what the nightly arriver is? 2 (It is a nightly radiant star). 3 There is no soul but has a protector over it. 4 So let man see from what he is created! 5 He was created of a gushing fluid, 6 that issues from between the loins and the ribs. 7 Verily, (Allah) is Able to bring him back (to life)! 8 On the Day when secrets are disclosed, 9 Then will (man) have no power, nor any helper. 10 By the rotating heavens 11 And the earth which splitteth (with the growth of trees and plants) 12 Lo! this (Qur'an) is a conclusive word, 13 It is no pleasantry. 14 They are devising guile, 15 But I am planning a plan. 16 Let, then, the deniers of the truth have their will: let them have their will for a little while. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: The Comet (Al-Taareq). Sent down in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
