The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the heaven and the Morning Star 1 What could let you know what the nightly comer is! 2 The very brightly shining star! 3 There is no soul which is not guarded (by the two angels who record all of its deeds). 4 So let man see from what he is created! 5 He is created from a water gushing forth. 6 Emerging from between the backbone and the ribs. 7 God has all power to resurrect him. 8 The Day when secrets will be put on trial, 9 [man] will have no power, and no helper. 10 By the sky (having rain clouds) which gives rain, again and again. 11 And by the Earth which opens out (for the gushing of springs or the sprouting of vegetation),- 12 Verily! This (the Quran) is the Word that separates (the truth from falsehood, and commands strict legal laws for mankind to cut the roots of evil). 13 it is no merriment. 14 They are hatching up a plot, 15 and I too am devising a guile. 16 Therefore give them some respite give them some time. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
