The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the Sky and the Night-Visitant (therein);- 1 And what could make thee conceive what it is that comes in the night? 2 The very brightly shining star! 3 No human soul but hath a guardian over it. 4 Let the human being reflect that from what he has been created. 5 He is created from a water gushing forth. 6 That is issued from between the backs and the ribs. 7 Surely (Allah) is able to bring him back (to life)! 8 On the day when hidden thoughts shall be searched out. 9 (Man) will have no power, and no helper. 10 Consider the heavens, ever-revolving, 11 And the earth splitting (with plants); 12 It is surely a decisive utterance; 13 and is no idle tale. 14 As for them, they are but plotting a scheme, 15 And I am planning a scheme. 16 So grant the unbelievers a respite: let them alone for a while. 17
Almighty God's Truth.
