The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the Sky and the Night-Visitant (therein);- 1 And what could make thee conceive what it is that comes in the night? 2 (It is) the star of piercing brightness; 3 There is not a soul that does not have a guardian over it. 4 Let the human reflect of what he is created. 5 He was created from ejaculated water 6 that issues from between the loins and the ribs. 7 He certainly has the power to bring him back to life. 8 On the Day when man's deepest secrets shall be put to the test 9 he shall have no power, and no helper. 10 By the heavens, ever-revolving, 11 and the earth, bursting forth with plants! 12 this is indeed a Decisive Word, 13 It is no pleasantry. 14 Indeed, they are planning a plan, 15 But I too am devising a plan. 16 Let, then, the deniers of the truth have their will: let them have their will for a little while. 17
Almighty God's Truth.
