The Comet (Al-Taareq)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heavens and that which comes in the night -- 1 - Ah, what will tell thee what the Morning Star is! 2 (It is) the Star of piercing brightness;- 3 There is no soul but has a protector over it. 4 LET MAN, then, observe out of what he has been created: 5 He was created from a fluid, ejected, 6 Emerging from between the backbone and the ribs. 7 Now, verily, He [who thus creates man in the first instance] is well able to bring him back [to life] 8 on the Day when all secrets will be laid bare, 9 and he shall have no strength, no helper. 10 By the sky with its returning rain, 11 And [by] the earth which cracks open, 12 this is indeed a Decisive Word, 13 and is no idle tale. 14 Indeed the disbelievers carry out their evil schemes. 15 but I too plan against them. 16 So grant the unbelievers a respite: let them alone for a while. 17
