The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the heavens and al-tariq. 1 And what could make thee conceive what it is that comes in the night? 2 It is the piercing star - 3 No human soul but hath a guardian over it. 4 So let man observe from what he was created. 5 He is created from a drop emitted- 6 That issued from between the loins and ribs. 7 Surely, He is Able to bring him back, 8 on the Day when all secrets will be laid bare, 9 So man will neither have any strength nor any aide. 10 Consider the heavens, ever-revolving, 11 And the earth which splitteth (with the growth of trees and plants) 12 That this (Qur'an) is a decisive word 13 and is no idle tale. 14 They are devising guile, 15 But I too am devising a plan. 16 so bear with those who deny the truth, and let them be for a little while. 17
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
