The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
I swear by the heaven and the comer by night; 1 And have you understood what the nightly arriver is? 2 It is the star shining brightly. 3 There is no soul but that it has over it a protector. 4 So let man consider of what he was created; 5 He was created from spurting fluid, 6 That issueth from between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 Surely, He is Able to bring him back, 8 On the Day when man's deepest secrets shall be put to the test 9 Then will he have no might nor any helper. 10 By the heaven which giveth the returning rain, 11 by the earth cracking open with new growth. 12 Most surely it is a decisive word, 13 and is no idle tale. 14 They are hatching up a plot, 15 But I am planning a plan. 16 So respite the unbelievers; delay with them awhile. 17
Almighty Allah's Truth.
