The Comet (Al-Taareq)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the heaven and the night-comer 1 And what shall make thee know that which the night-comer is? 2 It is the piercing star - 3 There is not a soul that does not have a guardian over it. 4 So let man consider of what he was created. 5 He has been created from an ejected drop of fluid 6 That issued from between the loins and ribs. 7 Surely, He is Able to bring him back, 8 The Day when all the secrets (deeds, prayers, fasting, etc.) will be examined (as to their truth). 9 Then he shall have no power nor any helper. 10 By the heaven with its recurring cycle of rain, 11 by the earth cracking open with new growth. 12 Behold this is the Word that distinguishes (Good from Evil): 13 And it is not a thing for amusement. 14 Lo! they plot a plot (against thee, O Muhammad) 15 But I too am devising a plan. 16 Therefore give them some respite – give them some time. 17
