The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the Sky and the Night-Visitant (therein);- 1 And have you understood what the nightly arriver is? 2 - The piercing Star! 3 There is no living being but there is a protector over it. 4 So let man see from what he is created! 5 He was created from spurting fluid, 6 issuing from between the loins [of man] and the pelvic arch [of woman]. 7 God has all power to resurrect him. 8 The Day that (all) things secret will be tested, 9 when he will be helpless, with no supporter. 10 By the sky which returns [rain] 11 And [by] the earth which cracks open, 12 Indeed the Qur’an is a decisive Word. 13 It is not a thing for amusement. 14 Verily, they are but plotting a plot (against you O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)). 15 but I too plan against them. 16 So respite thou the infidels - respite them gently, 17
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
