The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the heaven and the Morning Star 1 How will you comprehend what the night star is? 2 It is the star that shines with a piercing brightness -- 3 No human soul but hath a guardian over it. 4 LET MAN, then, observe out of what he has been created: 5 he has been created out of a seminal fluid 6 That issueth from between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 Surely (Allah) is able to bring him back (to life)! 8 On the day when hidden thoughts shall be searched out. 9 Then he shall have no power nor any helper. 10 I swear by the raingiving heavens, 11 and by the earth bursting with vegetation; 12 this (Qur'an) is surely a decisive Word, 13 And it is no joke. 14 They are hatching up a plot, 15 But I too am devising a plan. 16 So respite thou the infidels - respite them gently, 17
Almighty God's Truth.
