The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the sky, and by the nightly comer! 1 And what shall make thee know that which the night-comer is? 2 The star of piercing brightness; 3 [for] no human being has ever been left unguarded. 4 Let man consider what he was made of: 5 He is created from a water gushing forth. 6 emanating from between the loins and the ribs. 7 Most surely He is able to return him (to life). 8 On the day when hidden thoughts shall be searched out. 9 Then he shall have no power nor any helper. 10 By the heavens, ever-revolving, 11 And the earth which splitteth (with the growth of trees and plants) 12 Indeed, the Qur'an is a decisive statement, 13 It is not a thing for amusement. 14 Indeed the disbelievers carry out their evil schemes. 15 But I am planning a plan. 16 So allow time for the disbelievers. Leave them awhile. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
