The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the heavens and that which comes in the night -- 1 And have you understood what the nightly arriver is? 2 It is the piercing star. 3 [for] no human being has ever been left unguarded. 4 Let the human reflect of what he is created. 5 He is created from a water gushing forth. 6 issuing from between the loins [of man] and the pelvic arch [of woman]. 7 Surely (Allah) is able to bring him back (to life)! 8 on the Day when consciences are examined, 9 So man will neither have any strength nor any aide. 10 By the rotating heavens 11 And by the Earth which opens out (for the gushing of springs or the sprouting of vegetation),- 12 Indeed, the Qur'an is a decisive statement, 13 and is no idle tale. 14 They are cunningly devising, 15 and I am cunningly devising. 16 so bear with those who deny the truth, and let them be for a little while. 17
Almighty God's Truth.
