The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the Sky and the Night-Visitant (therein);- 1 And what shall teach thee what is the night-star? 2 (It is a nightly radiant star). 3 No human soul but hath a guardian over it. 4 So let man consider of what he is created: 5 He is created from a water dripping, 6 which comes out of the loins and ribs. 7 Surely, He is Able to bring him back, 8 upon the day when the secrets are tried, 9 and he shall have no strength, no helper. 10 By the heaven with its recurring cycle of rain, 11 And [by] the earth which cracks open, 12 Verily, it is a discourse distinguishing. 13 And no trifle. 14 Verily, they are but plotting a plot (against you O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)). 15 But I too am devising a plan. 16 So grant the unbelievers a respite: let them alone for a while. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
