The Comet (Al-Taareq)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the heaven, and the night-visitor, 1 And what will make you know what the comer by night is? 2 The very brightly shining star! 3 No human soul but hath a guardian over it. 4 Let man consider what he was made of: 5 He was created from a fluid, ejected, 6 issuing between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 Surely He is able to bring him back 8 The Day when secrets will be put on trial, 9 and he shall have no strength, no helper. 10 By the heaven which giveth the returning rain, 11 by earth splitting with verdure, 12 Lo! this (Qur'an) is a conclusive word, 13 And no trifle. 14 Indeed, they are planning a plan, 15 And I (too) will make a scheme. 16 So give a respite to the disbelievers. Deal you gently with them for a while. 17
