The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By oath of the heaven, and by oath of the nightly arriver. 1 And what will explain to thee what the Night-Visitant is?- 2 It is the piercing star. 3 That over each soul there is a guardian. 4 Now let man but think from what he is created! 5 He was created from spurting fluid, 6 which comes out of the loins and ribs. 7 God has all power to resurrect him. 8 On the Day when secrets are disclosed, 9 [man] will have no power, and no helper. 10 By oath of the sky from which comes down the rain. 11 And by the earth which splitteth, 12 Behold this is the Word that distinguishes (Good from Evil): 13 It is no pleasantry. 14 They are devising a guile, 15 but I shall bring all their scheming to nought. 16 So leave the unbelievers to themselves; respite them awhile. 17
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
