The Comet (Al-Taareq)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the heaven and the Morning Star 1 - Ah, what will tell thee what the Morning Star is! 2 (It is) the piercing star. 3 There is no living being but there is a protector over it. 4 So let man consider of what he was created. 5 He was created from a fluid, ejected, 6 That issued from between the loins and ribs. 7 Now, verily, He [who thus creates man in the first instance] is well able to bring him back [to life] 8 On the day when all secrets will be made public, 9 Then will he have no might nor any helper. 10 By the rotating heavens 11 And the earth which opens up (with verdure), 12 It is surely a decisive utterance; 13 and is not to be taken lightly. 14 They are cunningly devising, 15 But I too am devising a plan. 16 Therefore give them some respite – give them some time. 17
